Incorporated in 1982, Kentrol was established to be a full service control systems company which provides industrial process plants with a single source for control valve, flow, level, pressure, temperature and analytical measurement and control requirements. Regional sales, service and stocking facilities are located in Winslow, Maine; Warwick, Rhode Island; and Queensbury, New York. The Winslow Engineered Systems Group has the ability to solve your most demanding control applications. Our fabrication facility includes total in-house custom control consoles and manufactured components. Value added systems solutions capabilities include CAD design, documentation, wiring diagrams, panel design and layout. We also provide start-up services such as control integration, instrument calibration and control loop tuning. In meeting the ever -changing control systems needs, Kentrol will work with you to refine your process through increased automation.

Our technical personnel assist you to select the right package for a specific job, whether it be pneumatic or electric.

Kentrol acts as a stocking manufacturer's representative for a variety of control systems and products for the process and power industries.

Process Industries

  • Segmented ball, globe, high performance butterfly, and metal seated ball valves designed to meet "Entech" specifications.
  • Batch digester capping and blow valves.
  • "Smart" microprocessor based valve controllers and diagnostic software.
  • Analytical equipment for pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen.
  • Radar level monitoring systems.

Instrumentation Services
The Kentrol Systems Group has a team of Process Instrument Technicians each with more than twenty years of experience in process systems. Our technicians come from the Pulp and Paper, Chemical, Power and Biotech industries. They understand process control and are  experts in troubleshooting and problem solving.

The following services are available:

  • Instrument Calibration - Calibration of all process instrumentation.
  • PID Loop Tuning - Complete tuning of PID loop with five point verification of loop response.
  • Start-up Services - A team of experienced instrument technicians can assist in the start-up of major process systems projects.
  • Scheduled Periodic Instrumentation Maintenance and Calibration - Our service technicians can be scheduled to come into your facility at predetermined intervals during the year to keep your instrumentation and associated systems tuned and performing within required specifications.
  • Troubleshooting of Instrumentation Systems - The engineering staff of our Systems Group has a great deal of experience providing solutions to difficult process control problems.
  • Data Recording for Validation and Certification - The calibration and tuning of process instrumentation is recorded to meet the required documentation specifications for the validation of process systems (FDA). The information can be provided to the client in a format that meets their data recording requirements.

Skid Mounted Systems
The Kentrol Systems Group designs and builds complex skid mounted systems that can be delivered to your facility fully tested and ready to go. We have trained chemical, mechanical and electrical designers that can provide the skid system you need. We have built batch systems, small pilot plant systems, chemical feed systems, pump skids, compressor skids, high pressure chemical sampling systems, ph neutralization skids, soluable mercury removal systems, etc.

  • Design -The Kentrol Systems Group provides skid design services starting from a conceptual study through finished drawings ready for fabrication. We will provide full electrical, instrumentation, programming and fabrication documentation.
  • Fabrication - Kentrol's skid fabrication capabilities include: a welding shop, sheet metal fabrication shop, paint booths, sand blasting booths, control panel assembly and a complete machine shop.
  • Programming and Controls - We provide all the control systems for the skids we build including all necessary instrumentation, PLC programming or software (Intellution, Wonderware, Iconics, etc.) required to automate the skid. This would include all DATA output from the skid required by your main DCS.
  • Testing - We fully test all skid systems at our facility to ensure proper operation in the field.
  • Start-up - Our technicians assist you with the start-up in your facility until you are completely satisfied with the skid's operation.
  • Training - We will train your maintenance staff on the operation and maintenance of the skid and it's subsystems.
