F.W. Webb Company Welcomes New Vice President of Building Sciences

(Bedford, MA) - Alliance Environmental Group, an F.W. Webb Company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian Stanca as Vice President of Building Sciences. In this role, he coordinates and manages building sciences functions and hazardous materials assessments including, but not limited to, asbestos, lead, PCBs, mercury and chlorofluorocarbons. Stanca ensures all work crews follow state and federal regulatory standards and guidelines, and is responsible for overall service line business development.

Our due diligence division has grown tremendously over the past couple of years and building sciences is a major portion of our assessment activities," said Felix Perriello, President, Alliance Environmental Group. "We recruited Adrian due to his tremendous knowledge and experience in the field."

With nearly 40 years of experience in the fields of environmental and geological science, Stanca’s expertise covers asbestos consulting, environmental consulting, waste management and treatment, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene and hazardous materials. Stanca also founded two firms, ProScience Analytical Services, Inc. and Environmental Compliance Solutions, Inc., during his professional career.

"I’m excited for this new opportunity,” said Stanca. “My immediate focus is ramping up the asbestos assessment and abatement service lines across our entire footprint."

Stanca was born and educated in Romania. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Geological Engineering and Geophysics in 1983. After college, Stanca worked as a Geological Engineer for the Geological Institute of Romania. His duties included overseeing structural drilling installations as well as mining activities related to mineral ores exploration. After he moved to the United States, Stanca became Laboratory Director at ATC Associates. He was promoted to Vice President of ATC in 1992. He also served as Vice President of Building Sciences at Terracon.

Stanca has been a member of numerous professional associations throughout his career including the Environmental Business Council (EBC), New England American Industrial Hygiene Association (NE-AIHA), and the U.S. Geological Society (USGS). He also served as co-chair of the International Committee for the EBC.
