Mr. Pope has been the visionary and driving force behind the company's steady growth to a nearly $1B enterprise, with 15 areas of expertise in more than 80 locations in nine states and over 2000 employees. A Navy veteran and Dartmouth College graduate, he began his successful career at F.W. Webb as a sales representative, working for his father Roger Pope. John Pope stays abreast of industry and company developments and influences decision-making at what he respectfully and humbly refers to as, "Frank's company". (The "F" in F.W. Webb stands for Frank.)
A third generation Pope family member to serve as president of the F.W. Webb Company, Jeff Pope leads the largest wholesale supplier of plumbing, heating, cooling, PVF and industrial products in the Northeast. He oversees and monitors all aspects of the F.W. Webb enterprise to ensure the company continually fulfills its mission as a one-stop partner to the commercial and residential trade industries as well as to industrial and institutional building and property professionals. Like his father, Jeff is a Dartmouth College alumnus who also began his career at F.W. Webb in sales. As the company continues its expansion into new markets and territories, Jeff strives to ensure every customer's experience with F.W. Webb is a positive one. Motivating employees to continually give their best and creating ongoing value for the company's stakeholders are also among his top areas of focus. Jeff is a member of the Board of Directors of Affiliated Distributors (AD) and a past president of the American Supply Association (ASA).
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer of the F.W. Webb Company, Bob Mucciarone spearheads strategies and directs programs and efforts to propel the F.W. Webb Company forward. With a critical eye on all areas of the business, Bob is charged with building upon the company's stellar reputation for best-in-class products and services, personalized customer attention, and high levels of expertise. He proactively seeks opportunities to stimulate growth organically and through acquisition, and continually approves the hiring of best-in-class industry professionals with deep knowledge in their specific market areas. A 30+ year veteran of F.W. Webb and a Boston College graduate, Bob most recently served as the company's Chief Financial Officer.
SVP of Industrial Business Development
With over 45 years of experience at the F.W. Webb Company, Ernie Coutermarsh has gravitas both inside the company and within the industry. He is highly esteemed by customers, manufacturers and employees alike. As a senior vice president, Ernie focuses on industrial business development, market strategy, national accounts, and potential acquisitions. Within six months of being hired as a sales rep at the start of his tenure, Ernie was promoted to General Manager (GM) of the Fitchburg, MA location. He later served as GM of Willison, VT for four years before he was appointed Industrial Sales Manager and a member of the F.W. Webb Executive Committee. Ernie became VP of Industrial Sales in 1994, eventually becoming a senior VP ten years later. An active member of Affiliated Distributors, Ernie has served as Network Chairman and Delegate to the PVF division and been recognized for his industry contributions. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years and is currently a member of the American Supply Association Industrial Piping Division and The PVF Roundtable.
SVP of Human Resources
Ruth Martin has been in charge of Human Resources (HR) at the F.W. Webb Company for more than a decade. Over this timeframe, she has been a vital member of the executive team involved in the company's steady expansion, which saw the number of employees nearly double and the addition of 20 locations. During the challenge of integrating new employees from freshly acquired companies, Ruth is in charge of structuring offers, onboarding and training. She currently has HR responsibilities for more than 2,000 employees in 80+ F.W. Webb locations in nine states. Her areas of focus include recruiting, staffing, benefits, payroll, compensation, workers' compensation, safety, training, employee development, succession planning, and employee relations. She also stays abreast of all federal and state employment laws to ensure adherence. Ruth was previously employed for 17 years by SUPERVALU, a national wholesale food distributor and retailer, where she rose through the ranks to become the Vice President of HR for the New England region. A graduate of Boston College, Ruth holds a BA in Human Development.
SVP of Information Technology
Customer service is Mike Michaud's primary focus as the head of the Information Technology (IT) Department at F.W. Webb. A 25-year veteran of the company, Mike is responsible for leading technology strategy and managing overall IT operations and technology infrastructure. He develops and oversees his team's implementation of his IT vision for the company, which encompasses collaboration with internal business partners to create digital solutions for the benefit of both internal and external customer service. He also serves as a key member of the executive team responsible for formulating the company's overall strategic goals. Prior to joining F.W. Webb, Mike worked for 10 years in IT sales and support for wholesale distribution and manufacturing companies. Coincidentally, he was employed by the company that sold F.W. Webb its first computer system in the 1970s.
SVP of Operations
Brendan Monaghan wears many hats as the Senior Vice President of Operations at F.W. Webb. Brendan has spent more than 20 years implementing best industry standards and practices across the company's operations, including inventory management and distribution. Ensuring every customer receives exemplary service and the products he or she needs on time drives all his efforts. Brendan initiated and oversees a comprehensive management training program that has successfully attracted and placed managers across the company. Known as CIP, the program exposes trainees to every aspect of the business, from warehouse operations to sales to the customer's perspective. Teamwork is emphasized, with trainees working together on company-wide procedural and operational audits, for instance. Brendan's work grooms CIP trainees for positions as store managers, operations managers, and general managers – providing continuity of leadership for F.W. Webb. Brendan also oversees the company's Central Distribution operations, is responsible for the pricing matrix, and serves as an invaluable point man during all phases of acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Management from Suffolk University.
VP of Sales
Overseeing all sales initiatives and activities at the F.W. Webb Company, Vice President of Sales Tom Santer concentrates on aggressive sales growth across all product lines representing the company's 15 areas of expertise. This encompasses the company's core businesses (Plumbing, Heating, HVAC/R and PVF) and 10 specialty areas, including Process Controls, Water Works, and Fire Protection/Fabrication. A goal-driven, energetic leader with 20 years of extensive industry and B2B and B2C experience, Tom is responsible for prioritizing opportunities, driving business, and setting long-term sales strategy for each discipline. Establishing best practices, he spearheads programs to support and train the company's nearly 200 sales representatives. The company's wholesale locations and the Frank Webb's Bath Center showrooms are also part of his purview. Tom is intent on not only maintaining the company's leadership position in the Northeast but urgently compelling it to the next level. Before joining F.W. Webb in 2016, Tom held numerous executive leadership positions, including VP of sales for Grohe and VP of distribution strategy at American Standard. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and political science from SUNY Cortland in Cortland, NY.
VP of Purchasing
In 2016, Jeff Thompson stepped into the role of Vice President of Purchasing at F.W. Webb. Previously the General Manager of the company's Mechanical Sales hub in Methuen, MA, Jeff works to evaluate the industry's best manufacturers and products on behalf of F.W. Webb customers. Choosing selectively and negotiating judiciously gives customers ready access to superior-quality products at competitive pricing. By offering the leading brands, customers can rely on steadfast backing and support from F.W. Webb and its manufacturing partners. While attending UMASS Lowell part-time in 1989, Jeff started with F.W. Webb as an inside sales trainee in the former Burlington, MA headquarters. He was tapped for the company's management training program and became the Operations Manager of the Lowell, MA location in 1997. Three years later, Jeff became involved in the Mechanical Sales business, where he was responsible for inventory and purchasing. He was promoted to General Manager of Methuen in 2010 and served in this role for more than six years before becoming VP of Purchasing.
Director of HVAC/R Sales
With solid sales leadership, management experience, and HVAC technical acumen, Rich Boynton serves as the Director of HVAC/R for F.W. Webb. Rich oversees growth of the HVAC/R discipline, comprising products and services for heating, air conditioning, mini splits, VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) systems, and commercial refrigeration. Previously the General Manager of the F.W. Webb location in Hyannis, MA, Rich has spent more than 25 years at the company, beginning in Inside Sales. Outside of his extensive F.W. Webb resume, Rich worked several years in the field with a local mechanical contractor and also once established an HVAC division for a plumbing and heating company in eastern Massachusetts. As a teenager, Rich was encouraged by his grandfather to pursue a career in HVAC, and he did by first earning an Associate's Degree in HVAC Technology from Massasoit Community College. Subsequently, he studied Management Science at Bridgewater State University. Rich holds three professional licenses: Massachusetts oil burner technician, EPA-certified technician, and NATE-certified technician.
Director of Marketing
As Director of Marketing for the largest company of its kind in the Northeast, Alicia Criniti oversees the planning, development and execution of multi-channel marketing and advertising initiatives, as well as external and internal communications, at the F.W. Webb Company. Alicia is responsible for building the brands of both the F.W. Webb wholesale business and the Frank Webb's Bath Center retail showrooms, and partnering with sales leadership as the company continues its steady expansion throughout the Northeast. Alicia is a seasoned marketer with over 20 years of experience spanning B2B and B2C. She joined F.W. Webb in 2010 after helping other companies build and optimize their brands, including Bank of America and Fleet Bank. A graduate of Boston College, Alicia most recently worked for the Hill Holliday Advertising Agency.
Director of Business Development
Chuck Fiorino, F.W. Webb Director of Business Development, maintains an active travel schedule as he stays focused on exceeding customer requirements, discovering new product offerings, stimulating opportunities, and securing new business. His work takes him to every corner of the Northeast and encompasses all F.W. Webb products and services across the company's 15 areas of expertise. Chuck works closely with the company's general managers, product managers and the sales organization, united around the common goal of satisfying customers with the best products, training, service and solutions. He regularly attends industry events and maintains close collaborative relationships with manufacturers and vendors. Along with business development, Chuck is responsible for commercial refrigeration products and sales to supermarkets, box store chains, food processors, local grocers, and similar commercial, institutional and industrial customers. Chuck has more than 25 years of industry experience, has been with F.W. Webb since 2002, and is a past president of the Boston Chapter of RSES (Refrigeration Service Engineers Society).
Director of Industrial Sales
Buoyed by a solid combination of industry and military experience, F.W. Webb Director of Industrial Sales Mike Leander is a road warrior for customers in manufacturing, power and energy, and high purity process—along with medical, research, educational and government institutions. His primary responsibilities are to develop programs to bring value-added products, services and expertise to mechanical contractors, purchasing agents, facility managers, process engineers, and others in industrial, institutional, commercial and government/municipal settings. On behalf of customers, Mike coalesces the full gamut of F.W. Webb products, services, solutions and expertise—including PVF, Process Controls and High Purity Process Components. A decorated Army veteran who served in Macedonia and Afghanistan, Mike joined F.W. Webb in 2011 as an account manager. He is an Executive Council Member of the American Supply Association Industrial Piping Division (ASA IPD) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Central Connecticut State University.
As a heating equipment and accessories specialist with 15 years of experience, Michael DelConte is thoroughly steeped in all types of heating systems. As Heating Sales Manager at F.W. Webb since 2016, Mike concentrates on hydronic and radiant systems, including sales of the PurePro® TRIO® and Advantage® boiler lines, the PurePro indirect water heaters line, and other hydronic offerings from key vendors. With a passion for superior customer service and sales support, Mike strives to ensure the best heating equipment, parts, accessories, service, supplies, and solutions are available and supported for residential and commercial needs. He travels extensively across the entire operating territory to collaborate with managers and sales associates – helping them satisfy customer needs and support new growth opportunities with the top heating products and services available. In addition, he facilitates collaborative relationships with customers, vendor representatives, manufacturers, and affiliated trade groups, such as the PHCC (Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association). Mike has a BA in Business Management and Marketing from the UMASS Amherst Isenberg School of Management and an MBA from UMASS Boston.
A seasoned "master-of-all-trades", Richard Fox is the sales manager for propane gas equipment and parts at F.W. Webb. Rich works closely with Webb management and his colleagues in sales to evaluate and meet the LPG product needs of customers across the company's nine-state operating region. He focuses on helping customers increase efficiency with products and services, such as the Webb VMI Program. Rich has vast LPG, HVAC/R, and plumbing and heating expertise. Prior to joining F.W. Webb, Rich was a regional sales manager for Davenport Associates, a manufacturer's rep agency, where he was responsible for selling LPG products and providing training to residential and commercial customers across New York and Vermont. CTEP propane-certified and a licensed plumber, he was previously a national account manager for Weil-McLain and operated his own mechanical contracting company for 11 years. Rich served in the Air Force as a master HVAC/R technician, reaching E-7 senior enlisted rank.
F.W. Webb Plumbing Sales Manager Michael LaMountain drives sales of the company’s original business discipline by focusing on the needs of residential and commercial plumbing contractors. Mike is passionate about customer service and delivering quality products and solutions to all F.W. Webb plumbing customers. A skilled leader with extensive experience in plumbing sales at the manufacturer, manufacturer’s representative and wholesale levels, Mike continually strives to enhance longstanding industry relationships and develop new ones. He is dedicated to sustaining the company’s reputation for unsurpassed inventory, in-depth expertise, and exemplary service. Mike joined F.W. Webb in 2017 from Viega, where he was a district manager. He holds a Business Management and Accounting degree from Community College of RI and studied at the U.S. Army Engineer School in Fort Belvoir, VA, while serving in the U.S. Army Reserve Combat Engineering Battalion.
An industry expert, F.W. Webb Plumbing Products Manager Scott Smith is focused on providing the best and latest plumbing products for customers of the company's core business. Scott works closely with the plumbing sales team and supports sales in the open-concept wholesale locations. His area of responsibility also includes products, parts, accessories, and supplies under the company's private labels: PurePro® and Deriva. He joined F.W. Webb in 1979 after serving in the Air Force and earning a Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing from Daniel Webster College. His varied roles at the company have included Showroom Development, Operations Manager, Inside and Outside Sales, and Warehouse Manager. Outside of work, Scott is affiliated with his state's chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), as a teacher, trainer and facilitator. His commitment to families of loved ones with mental illness earned him a national "President's Volunteer Service Award." Scott also enjoys photography and has had several of his images published and exhibited.
An F.W. Webb employee for more than 15 years, Joe Ruggiero is responsible for hydronic heating products and accessories, including the company's private-label TRIO® line of three-pass boilers and Advantage® oil and gas boilers. Both TRIO and Advantage fall under the company's PurePro® brand, which includes hundreds of heating/plumbing products, parts, supplies, and accessories like smart thermostats. As Heating Products Manager, Joe meticulously follows market trends and takes the lead on new heating products, promotions and services. To ensure customers always have the best products and stay abreast of industry developments, Joe closely interacts with customers to understand their needs and partners with manufacturers and vendors - particularly with regard to customer support and training. Joe began his 35+ year industry career as a professional HVAC installer after graduating from the New England Institute of Industrial Technology. An expert on hydronic heating, Joe is a member of OESP (Oil & Energy Service Professionals). On occasion outside of work, he is known to perform a tune or two in his striking baritone.
Water Works Sales Manager
Serving as Sales Manager of the F.W. Webb Water Works Division is Michael Stanton, an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience. Mike is responsible for building and leading a team of experienced professionals who are setting high standards of customer service and product and solutions expertise. With in-depth market and product knowledge, and sales experience, Mike leverages strong relationships with key manufacturers and vendors to ensure F.W. Webb has all the necessary products and technical assistance to satisfy every customers’ water works’ needs. Mike also is responsible for growing the F.W. Webb water works business throughout the company’s nine-state territory. He regularly travels with General Managers and Sales Associates throughout the Northeast to identify and assess water works projects and opportunities. Mike stays active in the industry through memberships in WASDA (Water & Sewer Distributors of America), NEWWA (New England Waterworks Assoc.), UCANE (Utility Contractors’ Assoc. of New England), and similar trade groups.
Regional Manager, NY
Tim VanDenburgh is the F.W. Webb Regional Manager for the state of New York. As the company continues its geographic expansion throughout the Northeast, Tim has a pivotal role providing direction and assistance to all F.W. Webb locations across the Empire State. His primary areas of responsibility are to support the General Managers in New York with meeting customer service goals and implementing company programs at their locations. Tim has been instrumental in helping establish a Webb presence in the company's southern tier of the operating region. He served as a key member of the team managing and overseeing the acquisitions of several New Jersey locations and also led the successful establishment of the Newburgh, NY and Allentown, PA locations. Tim most recently served as Regional Manager of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Prior to becoming a Regional Manager, Tim served as General Manager of the F.W. Webb location in Elmwood Park, NJ (formerly Bergen Supply). A native and resident of New York, he joined F.W. Webb when the company acquired Kentrol Systemation in 1998.
