Marking its 150th anniversary this year, the F.W. Webb Company, the largest distributor of its kind in the Northeast, has opened a new location in Oakland, Maine. Convenient from Rt. 95, the newly constructed 38,000-sq.-foot facility is serving contractors with a huge selection of wholesale inventory. A Frank Webb's Bath Center showroom is planned at the site later in the year.
Located at 6 Highland Drive, F.W. Webb is offering 12,000 distinct products to residential and commercial contractors - more than three times the number of products previously available in the company's nearby Winslow location.
"The larger and easy-to-access wholesale location in Oakland is very well suited to serve the growing needs of commercial and residential contractors in the region, including the increased demand for a wider array of F.W. Webb products and services," said Nick Pelletier, general manager of the F.W. Webb locations in Augusta, Oakland, Lewiston and West Bath.
"F.W. Webb is pleased to support all local professionals with in-stock, high-quality products, services and support for construction, remodeling, repairs and maintenance needs," he said. "We are also looking forward to serving the area's local residents when we eventually open the Frank Webb's Bath Center showroom in our new building in the months ahead."
While the company has moved its plumbing, heating, HVAC and commercial refrigeration business to Oakland, the Winslow location will continue offering industrial PVF and related products to industrial customers, such as those in the paper and pulp industry. Winslow also will remain the headquarters of the F.W. Webb Process Controls Division.
Celebrating its 150th anniversary, the F.W. Webb Company has a long heritage of proudly serving the construction, renovation, maintenance and repair needs of residential, commercial, industrial and institutional customers. Founded in 1866 as the second plumbing supply house in Boston, F.W. Webb has grown from a single location to more than 80 across nine states. The largest distributor of its kind in the Northeast, F.W. Webb has extensive inventory and expertise in 15 distinct areas. Plumbing, Heating, HVAC, Commercial Refrigeration and PVF are the company’s core businesses. F.W. Webb also operates nearly 40 Frank Webb’s Bath Center showrooms. F.W. Webb employs more than 2,000 people and continues to grow organically and through acquisition to better serve its loyal customers throughout New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
