Pump Employs ECM/PM Motor.
Bell and Gossett designed its EcoCirc XL pump with a highly efficient electronically commutated permanent magnet motor (ECM/PM Technology). The pump's cast iron body handles pumping water or a water/glycol mix in closed-loop hydronic heating and cooling systems.
The EcoCirc XL pump features three standard operating modes: constant speed, constant pressure control, and proportional pressure control. When functioning in night mode, the pump automatically reduces speed when a sudden change in fluid temperature occurs, typically resulting from a boiler operating in nighttime setback mode. Users can remotely monitor the EcoCirc XL from a building management system (BMS).
