Rheem's Professional Classic Atmospheric gas-fired water heaters are engineered to deliver more hot water at a low operating cost, saving on monthly fuel bills. This 40-gallon tall natural gas water heater offers 40,000 BTU/h and has an eco-friendly burner and a low NOx design and 3/4" connections. The heater also features an air/fuel shut-off device, a protective control system that disables the heater in the presence of flammable vapor accumulation.
The Professional Classic water heater is easy to light, has an exclusive R-Tech (resistored) anode rod that provides long-lasting protection for longer tank life, fights sediment buildup with the patented EverKleen system, and comes with temperature and pressure relief valves. Plus, it's certified for use up to 6,000 ft. above sea level.
