GE's 2.5-Ton 14 SEER 1-Phase 1-Cool/1-Heat Heat Pump Packaged Unit is designed with Insta-Position Technology so it's ready for horizontal or downflow applications out of the box, saving time during install and eliminating the need for additional components. The one-piece base offers strength and stability, with rounded corners for safety, and heavy-gauge galvanized steel base rails with rigging holes. The 0" clearance design lets you install it in tight spaces close to the house.
The condensate and coil runoff drains are to the perimeter of the unit, and the horizontal and downflow duct openings are flanged to minimize water entry. The unit has louvered coil guard protection, insulation to minimize heat loss and reduce sound, a textured pre-painted steel cabinet, and convenient service access to components. The air conditioner features copper tubing with enhanced fin coils, internal service gauge ports, sleeved distributor tubs, and high and low threaded pressure switches.
The integrated controls have LED self diagnostics, a demand defrost control board with field selectable time intervals, and a built-in short cycle protection to protect the compressor. The drain pan float switch monitors condensate level in drain pan and shuts down unit if drain becomes clogged. Horizontal and downflow duct covers are provided with unit for installation flexibility.
The efficient constant torque motor provides a wide airflow range, and the blower housing slides out for easy service. With critical components arranged in a user friendly, easy-to-access design and common sized screws throughout, the NP14H30S is built to save time on each service call. Each unit is made of high-quality materials and components and then tested in extreme conditions to ensure it will perform in any environment.
