GE's 4-Ton 16 SEER 1-Phase 2-Cool/2-Heat Air Conditioner Packaged Unit is designed for outdoor installations at ground level or rooftop for residential and light commercial applications. With a 0" clearance design and Insta-Position Technology, the unit is ready to install for horizontal or downflow applications out of the box, saving time and effort.
The unit features an internally mounted, totaled enclosed, weather-protected, heavy-duty condenser fan motor with coated steel, swept wing fan blades for long life and a corrosion-resistant coated steel fan guard. The cabinet is mad of pre-painted, heavy-gauge galvanized steel with full-perimeter galvanized steel base rails with rigging holes and forklift slots. Steel louvered panels protect the coils, and horizontal and downflow duct covers provided with unit for installation flexibility. Field wiring inlets are located in one central area of the cabinet and gauge ports are located inside compressor service compartment of the cabinet for easy service access.
The two-stage scroll compressor features high efficiency with uniform suction flow, constant discharge flow, high volumetric efficiency, and is installed on resilient rubber mounts for better sound dampening and vibration-free operation. The variable-speed blower maintains specified air volume from 0 though 0.80 in. w.g. static range and is easily removed for servicing. Helix wound nichrome heating elements exposed directly in air stream resulting in instant heat transfer, low element temperatures and long service life..
The NP16H48V heat pump air conditioner is constructed with high-quality materials and components and then tested under extreme conditions to ensure it will reliably perform in any environment. Heating ratings are according to Department of Energy (DOE) test procedures and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) labeling regulations and are Certified by AHRI.
